’t Hoogt arthouse cinema
On the outside, it is a medieval listed building; on the inside, an intimate arthouse theatre and cosy cafe. ’t Hoogt cinema was established in 1973, making it the first movie theatre in the Netherlands. Today it is still one of the most authentic arthouse cinemas in the country.
Cinema
’t Hoogt has three wide screens equipped with state-of-the-art projection equipment – everything needed to show films at their best. ’t Hoogt shows the latest arthouse movies, with an emphasis on European and world cinema. Many of the films on the programme are award-winning productions.
Cafe
’t Hoogt is not only a movie theatre, but also an intimate cafe. In Café ’t Hoogt, which is open independently of the cinema show times, you can enjoy local produce, organic beers, wine and snacks, as well as delicious sandwiches and organic coffee. The cafe is open seven days a week for a cup of coffee or a drink, and the kitchen is open from noon Tuesdays through to Sundays for lunch and supper.
