Het Ketelhuis
Het Ketelhuis used to be an old boiler house that was built in 1969. In this place, people used to generate steam for the entire Pastoe factory that is located next door. When the boiler house was bought and changed into a restaurant, they kept as much of the original decor as we could, the pipes, hoists and the steam boiler are all still visible. Through the 7-meter-high windows, there is a beautiful view of the Vaartsche Rijn, which is one of Utrecht’s canals. During the warmer period of the year, you can take a seat on the terrace overlooking the water. They serve a fixed menu with 4, 5 or 6 courses.
