Morren Galleries: since 1993 an understanding in the field of contemporary figurative art in the Netherlands!

Morren Galleries, a jewel at the Oudegracht, is a vibrant gallery where there is always lots to see and enjoy: festive openings, lectures, meet & greet moments with artists, dinners and even auctions!

Artists
Morren Galleries represents about 50 artists, from the Netherlands and abroad, including emerging and established names. Contemporary figurative art in the widest sense of the word, but always of an exceptionally high technical caliber. In short: at Morren Galleries you will find artists who know their craft! From paintings, sculptures in stone and bronze, photography, works on paper to ceramic objects.

Exhibitions
Every six weeks the entire gallery (about 450 sqm) is installed with new works of art and every exhibition opens in a festive manner. Usually with an renowned guest speaker such as Dutch tv-personalities, politicians, authors, actors, poets and so on. (like: Maarten van Rossem, Herman Pleij, Loes Luca, Ronald Giphart, Arthur Japin, Jan Mulder, Joost Zwagerman, Jan Peter Balkenende, Cees Dam, Jules Deelder, Kluun ... and so on on.)

The gallery is located in the Utrecht Museum Quarter at the Oudegracht 340 & 338. The exhibitions take place on the groundfloor and in the two charming and unique 15th century vaulted wharf cellars.

DE PORTRETWINKEL (transl. The Portraitshop)
At Morren Galleries you will also find The Portretwinkel, which mediates between artists and clients. About 30 prominent painters, sculptors and photographers are affiliated with the Portretwinkel and are specialized in commissioned portraits: ranging from posthumous portraits, state portraits, group portraits to portraits of yourself or your loved ones. Besides portraits The Portretwinkel can fulfill all conceivable art commissions: for every job The Portretwinkel has the perfect artist!

Tuesday to Saturday: 11.00 - 17.00
Sunday: 12.00 - 17.00
 

Morren Galleries & The Portretwinkel are also located in Amsterdam near the Rijksmuseum at the Prinsengracht 572.
