Pathé Rembrandt

Pathé Rembrandt was founded in 1913 under the name Rembrandt Bioscoop-Theater. The theater had one hall with 240 seats and a large canvas. At that time there were no high-quality sound systems yet, but they had found a solution. The silent films were provided with sound by explicators and an orchestra. In addition to film screenings, theater performances were also on the program in the early years.

After a number of radical renovations, the facade was renewed and the main hall was divided into one large and two smaller rooms. Since 1995, the cinema has been part of the Pathé cinema chain. The cinema is centrally located along the beautiful Oudegracht. An ideal place to watch your favorite movie in the heart of the Utrecht city center.
